You may be asking, but Kim why didn't you review the second episode of How to Get Away With Murder? Guess what, I'm busy also solving murders with all my professors. Just kidding,
This show is moving pretty fast. Can they really stretch this murder out until the end of the season? It seems like it's gonna to get super old super fast. It's getting old. It's old. Tell me everything about the murder right now, Shonda. I remember reading a theory somewhere that since the murder takes place around Christmas that they might wrap up the story at the Christmas hiatus. I think that might be a good idea.
Flash-forward then flash-back. So formulaic. They revealed nothing we didn't already know.
Now we're in the Dean's office and it's getting a little preachy. Administration standing behind their star athlete is a hot button issue nowadays. Don't worry about his friend, just make sure the man has the best defense possible. Right.
Viola has a subtle vulnerability that shows why we all love her. She so carefully balances the strength of a high powered HBIC with being a real, human, woman. She's a pro and a goddess. To quote the great users of tumblr, "I can't even".
Connor knows Michaela's fiance? Uh oh. Is he a tad bit sweet like Connor? Nah he's probably just messing with her. Oh how I enjoy the power struggle law students attempt to wield over each other.
This show is getting a tad bit ridiculous. Stolen identities? Mass bombings? You get your client out of jail only to be immediately thrown another arrest for felony-murder? Is this what being a lawyer is like? "Hooker mom turned out to be bomb mom". HOOKER MOM'S HUSBAND IS ROY FROM THE OFFICE? Now that's crazy.
We can win this, Annalise? Brainwashing you say? Never heard of the mastermind defense (neither has google) but okay go ahead girl. They talk about it like it's such an everyday occurrence. Why are the students still standing when answering questions?
I love that they're making fun of Frank's Philly accent. What Philly accent? He's not even pulling a Kathy Bates on American Horror Story. I'll believe it when I hear him say, "Hey Laurel, wanna get some wooder ice?"
I can't even keep up with all these scenes anymore.
The best part of this episode so far is Bonnie's trench dress. I'm bored.
Time for another ethical violation! Dean Thomas, you really think it's a good idea to forge a Bar ID card? You are not passing the character and fitness requirement, young man.
Oh Connor's not just messing with Michaela. Her boy actually is a little curious. What a small world Shonda lives in.
Oh no the witness flipped. Who saw that coming? Everyone I think.
This episode is really boring.
The next best part of this episode is Annalise's courtroom dress.
But why is Mr. policeman lying about Sam's alibi? I don't care how mad you are at Annalise, there is no reason to send her back to a possible murderer. And if he's doing it to keep her from unraveling, again, he's a possible murderer! He could murder her next! :(
Can't wait to watch Annalise get Rebecca's confession thrown out next week. Next week looks promising but if it ends up being like this week, I don't know how much longer I'll be on the ride to ShondaLand.
C+ mostly for the fashion
